Mayank got a chance in the Indian ODI team:

The Senior Selection Committee has given Mayank Agarwal a chance in the ODI team of the Indian team due to the players being hit by the coronavirus.

Mayank Agarwal was in the Test series against South Africa, but Mayank’s performance in the Test series was not very good, but really Mayank Agarwal is a very good player who has proved himself by playing many good innings.
The team members were asked to report for the upcoming three-match ODI and T20I series against West Indies in Ahmedabad on 31 January 2022 before all the members were at their homes and undergo an RT-PCR test. Was told that permission was given to travel only after a negative report.

  • The RT PCR test done on Monday 31 January of Indian team opener Shikhar Dhawan and stand-by player Navdeep Saini came positive.
  • Fielding coach T. Dileep and Security Liaison Officer B. Lokesh also tested positive for RT-PCR on Monday, January 31.
  • On Tuesday, 1 February, the RT PCR test of the Indian team’s young batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad came positive and during the earlier test on Monday, his test came negative.
  • Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer and sports massage therapist Rajeev Kumar tested positive for RT-PCR on Wednesday, February 2, both of whom had received negative reports in the first two rounds of testing.
